Call for Proposals
We are pleased to announce that Digifest 2019 will feature the new Educators Forum & Student Showcase. The Forum will be hosted at George Brown College in the School of Design’s new waterfront campus in the Daniels – City of the Arts building during Digifest.
We invite educators, researchers, trainers, practitioners and industry professionals to submit proposals that address the theme of the conference, Creative Growth. This year, we turn the spotlight on our community of educators and innovators, who will share best practices and disseminate new and diverse methods to support faculty and student engagement inside and outside of the classroom.
Design, technology and education have the ability to prepare and empower students in this constantly changing world and to play an active role in these changes.
Presenters are invited to submit a proposal pertaining to the theme of the conference Creative Growth in the subject areas that include:
- Innovative teaching & learning practices in higher education
- Interactive video tools
- E-learning instructional design
- Tots and tech
- Design thinking and development
- Innovations in global education
- Universal design for learning
- Inclusive pedagogy
- Designing spaces for virtual learning environments
- VR and AR in classrooms
- Technology in learning/ corporate training
- Future of the workplace
- Multi-generational learning
- Learning languages
Proposals can be based on work from a research project, capstone projects or case study.The Forum will begin with an opening talk followed by two sessions of breakout groups. Please note that there will be a Student Showcase area to exhibit your project at the waterfront campus.
Gather and share best practices, resources, tools and research innovation! Space is limited.
