It’s a wrap for Digifest 2018!

From April 26-28, Digifest provided an opportunity for attendees to participate, interact and learn about the future of creative cities!

Stay tuned for information on Digifest 2019!

Digifest is a tech festival and startup event, organized annually by the Digital Media and Gaming Incubator at George Brown College. This year’s theme, Hello Tomorrow: Our Creative Cities is about improving our quality of life and making creative cities of the future better through design, innovation, and technology. As the world’s population soars to almost 10 billion people by 2050, up from today’s 7.5 billion, challenges around urban spaces, food priorities, health, education, mobility and work will make us look at how innovative thinking today will shape our world tomorrow.

Digifest featured emerging technology and highlighted stories from around the globe using tech to tackle challenges in cities.

2018 Program

Over three days, Digifest brings guest speakers to share their innovative work in the areas of digital media, art, design and technology. Attendees can explore installations in the Interactive Zone, see the Best of the Best works in the Student Showcase, connect with emerging entrepreneurs at the IT’S A START Pitch Competition, meet the Digital Pioneer Award and attend Family Day in the main atrium at Corus Quay, along Toronto’s waterfront.

For 50 years, Leonardo has highlighted the concepts and results of artists, scientists, technologists and researchers.  Join us at Digifest as we help celebrate Leonardo’s 50th Anniversary!

We’ll also be celebrating Toronto’s recent designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts for its leadership in film, music, digital media and forms of cultural expression using technology.
