All good things must come to an end, Digifest included. But instead of crying about it, we’re going out with a bang at the Sony Centre for Performing Arts. The Ziris Digifest Closing Gala will be a glamorous evening of schmoozing, perusing, and celebrating the festivities of the past few days. Delicious cocktails and hors d’oeuvres are just the beginning: we will also be premiering work created for the Sony Ziris™ Wall, providing all attendees with a visual feast of digital art. Get your ticket now, and join us to celebrate in style.

Digifest 2011 has commissioned a handful of new media artists who are pushing the boundaries of their artistic realms to create custom installations for the Ziris™ Wall at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto. The featured artists’ works will be on display throughout Digifest at the Sony Centre and, along with creations by local up-and-comers, will be publicly premiered at the Ziris™ Digifest Closing Gala on Sunday, October 30.

Ah, Halloween. Unlike Thanksgiving, you can wear gratuitous make-up, fishnets, and underpants on top of tights without offending your grandmother. It is indeed a time to celebrate. That’s why Digifest is hosting a kick-ass Halloween masquerade of epic proportions. We personally invite you to dress up as your favourite hero (or villain) and join us at the historic (and potentially haunted) St. Lawrence North Market.

Forget carving the jack-o-lantern — let’s carve up the dance floor. We’ll sweeten the deal with a free drink, included with your ticket. Don’t forget to get your picture taken at our photobooth!

It’s gonna be the hottest halloween jam since the monster mash. Be there or be SCARED.
